Here to can learn about all of Chelmsford’s past from the ice age to the present day, there is plenty to see and do for all ages. There is also a café called the Hive where you can enjoy a lovely lunch, I would also recommend taking a picnic on a nice day to eat in the park. There is also a shop selling gifts, entry to the museum is free.

The Riverside Leisure is in the middle of the city on Victoria Road, there is certainly a lot to do here for all the family including a 10 lane 25-meter pool with a flume also which is great fun.
There is also a 130-station gym with free weights, screens for your entertainment whilst you work out and the gym is fully air conditioned. Plus, you can get help with your fitness and nutrition from one of the members of staff.

Chelmsford Canoe Club
The Canoe Club is in the heart of the city right next to the river Chelmer and almost at the point where it meets the river can. Now there’s no better way to see the city than from its lovely rivers. The club has a policy where you will have to undertake a trial session then after this you can become a member and join in with the many events that they have going on all year around. Great fun and a good way to keep fit.
